What does "seaworthy" (Cargo Worthy) mean?
A Cargo Worthy (CW) container retains the structural integrity required for international maritime transport: floors, frames, corner castings and doors in operating condition, with no deformation that compromises stacking. To ship internationally, the unit also needs a valid CSC (International Convention for Safe Containers) plate, validated through periodic examination or an ACEP scheme. Containero selects CW-grade units and coordinates the condition survey; if your operation requires CSC recertification, we arrange it with authorized inspectors before delivery.
Buying SOC containers in Latin America's transshipment hub
Millions of TEU move through Panamanian ports every year, and much of the equipment that ends its carrier life cycle is sold right here. That makes Panama a natural sourcing point for SOC (shipper-owned) containers: buy the unit, ship your cargo one-way and avoid detention and equipment-return charges. We serve freight forwarders, NVOCCs, exporters and Colón Free Zone companies, with coordinated pickup near both Atlantic and Pacific ports.
How buying works
1) Tell us the size, quantity, and whether you need a valid CSC plate or CW grade only. 2) We send real photos and a condition report of available units. 3) We quote in writing: unit, survey/certification if applicable, and delivery or depot pickup. 4) We coordinate delivery to your depot, port or project. For fleets or volume purchases, ask about special terms.
